Install Android on HTC HD2 with NAND Android ROM and MAGLDR?

Note that by installing NAND Android ROM and MAGLDR, your device voids warranty. htc-hd2-android is not liable if you get your device bricked during the process. Proceed at your own risk.

Install HSPL3 on my HTC HD2


 
HSPL3 - HardSPL which allows you to install ROM of your choice, is a must to install for flashing NAND Android ROM on HD2.

 
Guide

 
  • Download HSPL3_PKG to your local computer and exact it to a folder.
  • Turn off your htc hd2 smartphone.
  • Press and hold Volume down key and Power button simultaneously till your phone boots into Bootloader.
  • Connect your HD2 to computer via USB cable and wait until you see “USB” at the bottom of the screen.
  • Now open the downloaded and extracted folder “HSPL3_PKG” and run the executable “HSPL3_PKG.exe”.
  • Step by Step to follow instructions.
  • During the process your phone reboots into Bootloader and installs the hack. Wait for the process to complete.That’s it. You have successfully flashed HSPL3 on your HTC HD2.

 

Install Radio ROM on my HTC HD2


 
Radio ROM is the software part of your HD2 that powers ON/OFF, controlling wireless protocols including Bluetooth, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, GPS etc. It also includes a Radio Bootloader and software for working in conjunction with the mobile platform. So if you are planning to install Android on your HTC HD2, flashing custom Radio ROM is an important step.

 
Guide

 
  1. Download Leo_RADIO** on to your computer and extract the content.
  2. Power Off your HD2.
  3. Press and hold Volume down key and Power button simultaneously till it boots into Bootloader.
  4. Connect your HD2 to computer via USB cable and wait until you see “USB” at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Now open the downloaded and extracted folder “Radio Leo 2.15.50.14” and run the executable “CustomRUU.exe”. Click “Yes” for the Windows UAC prompt.
  6. Check the caution box and click “Next”.
  7. Check “I completed the steps indicated above” box and click “Next”.
  8. Now the utility establishes connection with the HD2. Wait for the process to complete.
  9. Your phone will reboot for the process to finish.
  10. You are done with installation of Radio ROM on your HTC HD2.

 

Install MAGLDR on my HTC HD2

Guide
  1. Login to your computer with administrator rights.
  2. Download MAGLDR and extract it’s contents on your computer.
  3. Power off your HD2.
  4. Press and hold Volume down key and Power button simultaneously until the phone boots into Bootloader
  5. Now connect your HD2 to computer using USB cable.
  6. Open the extracted folder and run the “ROMUpdateUtility.exe” utility. Click OK if Windows UAC prompts.
  7. Check the box that you read the caution and click “Next”.
  8. In the PDA Phone ROM Update Utility interface, check the box “I completed the steps indicated above” and click “Next”.
  9. After the USB connection verification is done, click “Update”.
  10. Now the process of flashing the MAGLDR will start. Wait for the process to complete 100%.
  11. You are done. You have successfully installed MAGLDR on your HTC HD2.

 

Flash NAND Android on my HTC HD2


 
  1. Login to your Windows PC with administrator rights.
  2. Download NAND Android ROM for HD2 on to your computer and extract it’s content.
  3. Power off your HD2.
  4. Connect HD2 to your computer via USB Cable.
  5. Press and hold the “Power” button until it boots into “MAGLDR Boot Menu Screen”.
  6. Now use the “Volume” button and choose the option “USB Flasher” option using “Call” button.
  7. Your phone will now go into Android Flasher mode and may install usb drivers if needed.
  8. On your PC, open the downloaded and extracted NAND Android ROM folder “DFT_LEO_NAND_Android” and run the executable file “DAF.exe”. If DAF.exe is missing run the file “Install.exe”.
  9. Now installation of ROM will start. Wait till it completes.
  10. After flashing the NAND Android ROM, your phone will reboot again and boot into “MAGLDR Boot Menu” automatically.
  11. Now use “Volume” key and select the option 2 that says “Boot AD NAND” using the “Call” button.
  12. Now NAND Android will start. Disconnect the USB connection with computer.
  13. Follow the on-screen instructions to setup Android on your HD2
  14. You are done. Enjoy Android on your HTC HD2. This version of Android is developed to make the look and feel like HTC Desire Stock ROM. Anytime, you desire to have Windows Mobile 6.5 back on your HTC HD2, flash the stock ROM again. MAGLDR and Android will be removed!
